The invention relates to a device for occluding cerebral blood vessels and comprises a latex occluding bubble 14 in whose front, thickened part a metal plug is arranged. A pear-shaped valve 17 which is produced from the material of the bubble, and by way of whose through slit the end of a catheter 15 of smaller diameter is inserted, is formed in the rear part of the bubble 14. The pear- shaped valve 17 faces the bubble 14 while an elastic element 19 is arranged on the neck part of the valve 17. The device contributes to making it easier to manage the transport of the bubble 14 to the cerebral blood vessel which is to be occluded and to the bubble 14 self-closing hermetically in reliable manner after the catheter has been removed.
