<p>PURPOSE:To produce the captioned element of high display quality with high productivity and low price by discharging the orientation control film agent injected through the injection hole of an empty cell through the use of centrifugal force then sealing the discharge hole and injecting liquid crystal through the injection hole thence sealing the injection hole. CONSTITUTION:A NESA electrode upper substrate 1 and a NESA electrode lower substrate 2 are disposed with the NESA electrode sides being opposed. The peripheral parts of the both end parts of the upper and lower substrates 1, 2 are so sealed by frit seal material 3 that an injection hole 4 and a discharge hole 5 are provided in their sealing agent coated parts, thence an Ni-Cr, Au metal film for solder sealing is evaporated around the holes 4, 5, whereby the empty cell 6 is formed. Next, an orientation control film agent is injected into the cavity of the empty cell 6 by capillarity. After standing for a while, the control film agent is discharged through the discharge hole 5 by using centrifugal force, whereby the orientation control film of an even thickness is formed on the NESA electrode surfaces. Thence, the discharge hole 5 is solder-sealed, after which liquid crystal is filled in the empty cell 6 through the injection hole 4, thence the injection hole 4 is solder-sealed.</p> |
