PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of radio wave noise by applying water glass or the mixture of water glass and inorganic insulating powder on the spark discharge surface of at least one side of the rotor electrode of a distributor and plural fixed electrodes facing to the rotor electrode. CONSTITUTION:A rotor electrode 5 is made of aluminum or brass, fixed electrodes are made of or brass aluminum, water glass diluted with water is applied to the rotor electrode 5 with brush, then dried and a layer of water glass is formed. At this time, Al2O3 powder may be sprinkled after applying water glass and then dried, or, SiO2 or MgO may be used in place of Al2O3. The same processing may be applied to the fixed electrodes in place of the rotor electrode. By so distributing fine insulating parts on the conductive parts of the discharging electrode surface, discharge voltage is dropped. |
