PURPOSE:To heighten the kneading effect of various material by making the screw outer diameter and the cylinder inner diameter uniform in the size throughout the length while allowing the screw to freely move axially in the cylinder with coarse and fine kneading sections. CONSTITUTION:In a kneading extruder, the outer diameter of the screw 1 and the inner diameter of the cylinder is each made uniform in the size throughout the length. The screw is provided at the intermediate portion with a coarse kneading section 2 having a polygonal cross-section comprising the inner surface of the cylinder and the outer surface of the screw and a fine kneading section 3 comprising conical surfaces 5 and 6 and protruded streaks 7 formed on the conical surface 5 of the screw. The screw 1 is made to axially move relative to the cylinder 4 whereby the clearance between the conical surfaces 5 and 6 can be varied thereby adapting itself to various material. The coexistence of the coarse kneading section 2 and the fine kneadig section 3 offers a extremely wide usage and permits higher kneading effect. |
