<p>The fuel pump has a suction and delivery chamber and inlet and outlet valves. The centre of the pump has a diaphragm (13) which is supported by a plate (14) connected to the main spring (15). The rod (16) has a valve (17) loaded against the spring (19). The outside of the diaphragm is connected to the discharge passage (4) to prevent vapour locking in the pump when it is idle.</p> |
