<p>The float actuated valve may be used to control a flow of water into a storage tank, the float (17) being fixed to an 'L' shaped lever (10). An obturator pad is incorporated in the bar of the lever, the ascent of the float presenting it to an inlet nozzle (14) to curtail the flow. The nozzle is built onto a short pipe length with a threaded barrel (37) and secured in a valve body (12) hole by a collar (36) and a nut (38). An inverted 'U' section plate forms the body (12), housing the lever-holder (11) which has an externally winged (32) inverted 'U' section, and being secured to the top of the tank wall by a simple screw (27) clamp (15). The webs of the body (12) and the holder (11) are both located between the colar (36) and the nut (38), the legs of the holder having holes for the lever axle pin (13). The length of the pin (13) is such that it is imprisoned in the holder holes and between the body legs, and the float may be adjustably located by a bolt in a slot hole.</p> |
