<p>The discharge pipe is designed for use in a field chopper. It is mounted behind the chopping mechanism and it consists of a standpipe, a rotary blower, and an outlet pipe connected to the blower. The standpipe and the outlet pipe directing the material are both connected tangentially to the housing of the rotary blower, whose axis is horizontal. The design gives an appreciable economy of power, and a min amount of kinetic energy in the material being wasted.</p> |
