<p>The road racing motorcycle is made up from three separate assemblies. The central portion is the engine and gearbox, another the front wheel and suspension and the third the rear wheel and suspension. The front section has parallelogram links and hub-centre steering, which is virtually quadrilateral and has pivoted arms (3) to a joining plate (4). These arms have a screw adjustment to vary their lengths. The suspension is held in position by a shock absorber spring (12) fitted to the lower arm and to the joining plate.</p> |
