In-mould coating for compression mouldings

Moulded coatings are applied to compression moulded reinforced plastic parts by an in-mould method through an injector (6) which applies a parallel stream to the substrate surface. The positional change of the mould halves is controlled by the press plunger and the complete sequence is controlled by a timer.The new injector (6) is screwed with its threaded front part (32) directly into the lower half of the compression mould. The injector nozzle (20) is opened by withdrawing a pin (10) when a hydraulic or pneumatic fluid is admitted throuh the port (48) to move the piston (12).The new system saves the necessity for alinkage mechanism, the fluid ejection apparatus and the hydraulic levellong gear of the known system
