Electricity generator using marine wave energy - involves utilisation of relative oscillation between float and stabilised submerged plate

The generator uses a floating body (1) which cooperates with a second body (2,3) which oscillates relative to it, when the floating body is moved up and down by wave movement. The relative oscillation of the two bodies is converted into electrical energy. Pref. the second body comprises a stabilised, large dia plate (2) connected via vertical rods to two coupling plates (5,6) between which a pump (8) is located. The pump piston rod (9) is attached to the floating body, so that it moves up and down with the latter. The generator is held in position by at least one anchoring cable fixed to the seabed and to one of the coupling plates (5,6), and running at an angle of less than 45 deg. to the horizontal.
