Securing catch for hitch - has axially sprung pivot shaft and profiled locking slot

The securing catch for a tractor hitch attachment is pivoted on a shaft (30) with an operating lever (30d) radially in one end of the shaft and engaging a profiled locking slot (30e) in the side of the hitch housing. A spring about the shaft holds the handle in the slot. The slot is so angled that the locking action takes place in two directions. The manual control is simple and requires no dexterity. The other end of the shaft has a catch plate (30f) which swings down into the locking position.
