<p>A continuous brewer for producing a beverage suitable for human consumption includes a movable filter (60) positioned to intercept the flow of brewed liquid and spent beverage ingredient from the outlet of a mixing duct (24) in which a liquid and a particulate beverage ingredient are mixed and brewed. A drive mechanism (63) moves the filter relative to the mixing duct outlet as brewed liquid and spent beverage ingredient are being delivered to remove the spent beverage ingredient and present a fresh filter surface for receiving the brewed beverage. A dispensing mechanism (64) dispenses the brewed and filtered beverage after passage through the filter. </p> |
