Palletised bottle case handling equipment - has delay system for switches controlling lifting arms to compensate for height differences

The load handling system for e.g. bottle cases on pallet is designed to compensate for pallets of different heights, when using a lifting frame (2) with two sets of gripping arms (3, 3'). These arms are intended to simultaneously lift two side by side cases. Each frame incorporates a strip (4, 4') above each pair of arms, and which can be moved upwards by contact with a case below, so as to operate a pair of contacts (8, 8') controlling respective switches (9, 9'). Thus, for a case at a higher level, the swinging jaws are released earlier to engage a case on a higher pallet. Operation is controlled also for unloading cases.
