<p>PURPOSE:To simplify mechanical processing of each constituting part and to reduce the weight of the whole calipers by dividing the calipers into three parts which are the cylinder part, the reaction piece, and the connecting part. CONSTITUTION:The caliper 2 is constituted being divided into the cylinder part 22 and the reaction piece 5. Furthermore, the reaction piece 5 is incorporatedly equipped with the connecting part 21 which is the thin compressed member connected with the cylinder part 22 over the outer peripheral of the brake disk. The cylinder part 22 has the joining surface 23 which is connected with the open end surface of the cylinder into which the piston is inserted, and also has the wall 25 through which the bolt 34 is inserted and which is parallel to the surface 23 of the projected wall 19 protruded above the outer peripheral wall of the cylinder part 22. Also, the center part of the wall 19 is incorporatedly combined with the cylinder part 22 peripheral wall by the reinforcing rib 24. The sealing and dust- proof boot fitting annular grooves 39, 40 are cut in the cylinder 20 inner peripheral surface, and the reaction piece 5 is forked with the screw hole 11 at the top end. The projection 21a with the flat surface which is project-fitted on the joining surface 23 of the cylinder part 22 is formed on the connecting part 21, and the bolt hole 13 is made in the projection 21a.</p> |
