<p>PURPOSE:To reduce a blow-up phenomena within a electric furnace by a method wherein a briquet based on waste materials such as dust, sludge or the like generated in a stainless steel producing process is reduced and refined by coke, particle dimension thereof is controlled according to a required amount. CONSTITUTION:A material obtained by dehydrating and drying sludge generated in a stainless steel producing process, dusts and scales are kneaded along with a binder and converted to a briquet by a briquet making machine. When this briquet, after dried at a low temperature, is thrown into an electric furnace along with coke and a slag making material, is compounded coke of which a particle size is reduce as a required amount of coke is incresed according to a briquet composition. Thereby, a blow-up phenomena is reduced to a large extent and a valuable metal such as Ni, Cr, Fe or the like is availably recovered.</p> |
