The reciprocating conveyor comprises a number of elongated slat members having longitudinal side walls and spaced apart laterally on a frame. An elongated flexible sealing strip is secured to the longitudinal side wall of one of each adjacent pair of slat members. The sealing strip includes a resilient portion extending angularly upward into resilient sliding engagement with the confronting longitudinal side wall of the other adjacent slat member of the pair. A drive on the frame engages the slat members for reciprocating them longitudinally.
