The ball-cock sealing ring has three lips, the first being sprung and pressed by the medium against the plug. The second is on the cylindrical outer face of the ring away from the ball plug, and the third on this face and towards the plug, both being pressed by the medium against a guide bore. The face of the ring (1) away from the plug is spring-loaded (2), and the second lip is formed by an inclined surface at a small angle to the bore machined in this face. The third lip is a further inclined face on the cylindrical surface of the ring near the first lip.
