The tongue (11) is prevented from release from the socket by a locking member (34) which in turn can be released by a release lever wherein this locking member and release lever interact to hold back the locking bar (34) as the release member begins to move from the locked to the release position thereby avoiding premature unlocking of the clasp. The release member can have a section mounted so that it acts on the locking member to move it into the release position whilst a further section is arranged so as to limit this movement when the locking member begins to be released. |
