The insulated cover plate is for a low voltage switch panel, which does not have to be opened to operate or read any of instruments inside. The panel contains switching, control and regulating instruments which project through cutouts in the insulated cover. The cover plate is bowl-shaped with a collar around the rim. The collar is used to fix the cover plate to the panel. The cutouts are in the bottom surface of the bowl, allowing the relevant instruments to project outwards. The depth of the bowl measured from the edge of the cover corresponds to the height of a switching instrument.
