Fuel injection system for IC engine - has engine driven compressor to give quantity control dependent on engine speed

The engine drives a membrane compressor whose output depends on engine speed. Its discharge is connected to a valve, the flow through which is controlled by a blow-off. The valve feeds one chamber of a triple membrane actuator. The stem of the actuator moves a stop which limits the stroke of the fuel pump. The second chamber of the actuator is connected to the engine suction pressure. The third chamber is connected to the suction pressure through a valve. This valve has a bleed off controlled by a bellows which is acted on by atmospheric pressure.
