Spindle press with screw and nut drive - has balls, mounted between nut and screw which do not recirculate but move between end positions

The press consists e.g. of a nut (3) which is fixed in the frame of the press and a screw spindle (2) which can move up and down in the nut. the thread in both parts is of semicircular section and rolling elements e.g. balls (8) are mounted in the space between the spindle and nut. The balls do not recirculate, but move to and for in the nut. The balls are contained in the nut at one end by a stop pin (11) and at the other end by a plate. A stop-pin (12) in the spindle limits the movement of the spindle. The end balls are made from plastics so that they act as shock absorbers.
