<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate a problem of contact inferiority to the giving and receiving of the signal of an IC card and to enhance usability, by performing the giving and receiving of a signal in a non-contact system and together using a solar cell. CONSTITUTION:When an IC card 1 is inserted in a reading/writing apparatus 6, a light source 9 excites a solar cell 5. The light signal of a light emitting element 8 is written in a memory element 13 from a photodetector 4 through a CPU 12. When data is read, the CPU 12 drives a liquid crystal shutter 3a on the basis of the data from the memory element 13 and appropriately blocks or transmits the light emitted from a light source 7b to send out a light signal to the photodetector 7a on the side of the reading/writing apparatus 6 and transmits the same to a CPU 10 through an interface circuit 11.</p> |
