摘要 PURPOSE:To make a reduction of pumping loss, by controlling an opening period of the second valve, provided in the intake port, for the intake valve when opening, and making a control of intake air quantity. CONSTITUTION:Immediately before an intake valve 6 in an intake port 5, is provided a rotary valve 15 as the second intake valve. An intake air quantity is controlled on the basis of overlapping between an opening period of the rotary valve 15 and that of the intake valve 6. The rotary valve 15 is made an interlocking operation to a cam shaft 10, and a timing of opening period of the rotary valve 15 is controlled by making a displacement of rotary phase angle of the differential gear mechanism. In such way as controlled the intake air quantity, very little action of throttling is caused by a throttle valve, thus can be widely provided a reduction of pumping loss.
