PURPOSE:To generate a time announcing sound resembling musical instrument sounds, natural sounds or the like with a simple circuitry employing the central processing unit while emitting difference sounds simply by changing the contents memorized leaving the circuitry unchanged. CONSTITUTION:In the ROM6, stored are a main program 8, a musical note data memory block 10, a waveform data memory A block 12 and B block 14. The CPU4 acts according to the command or data programmed in the ROM6. The time announcing signal from the watch section 20 is inputted into the CPU4 through an input/output port 18 and the CPU4 is connected to a D-A converter 26 by the input/ output port 18. The envelope A circuit 22 and B circuit 24 are selected by the signal from the CPU4. Either one thereof works to generate a sound accompanying a reverberation effect through a speaker 30. |
