The security system consists of an electrically supplied visible or IR light radiation beam and a reflector for aligning the beam radiated from the source. It uses a light sensitive element for switching on the source. The light sensitive cell (7) is fitted behind the reflector (4). The radiation source (3), the reflector and the light sensitive switch (6) are integrated into one unit. The radiation source will be switched on and off by the switch depending on the ambient light. The radiation source can transmit visible light or infrared light. The light sensitive cell can be rotated relative to the housing containing the radiation source and the reflector.
