PURPOSE:To improve withstanding pressure and to enable function under high temperature environment, by brazing an insulative ceramic air-tight terminal to the open end of tubular cathode. CONSTITUTION:The tip of metallic sleeve 13 is brazed and sealed air-tightly then the cathode 1 and the end face of metal ring 14 are brazed to maintain the air- tightness in the cathode 1. The brazing material is composed of aluminum-silicon alloy mixed with 1-3% of magnesium for preventing the oxidation, and the brazing is performed under vacuum environment of 580-620 deg.C. Exhaustion of the cathode 1 while heating and filling with electrolytic dissociation gas is performed through the metal sleeve 13. After filling with said gas, the tip of metal sleeve 13 is chipped off.
