PURPOSE:To facilitate the automatic alignement of a group of electrode plates and also simplify the construction of welding jig by inserting the group of electrode plates to be welded for strapping in the ''bookstand'' like group holder which has partitioning plates on a bottom plate to perform the necessary alignment. CONSTITUTION:The required strap welding is performed by welding each leaf 1a of a group of electrode plates 1 along with the electrode pillar, by using welding jig. In performing this welding, the group of plates 1 is inserted between the group holder 3 of a ''bookstand'' like construction for alignment, and thereafter the group holder 3 is set to a welding jig provided with comb like teeth and electrode pillars, both of which are made for easy attachment and separation. The group holder 3 also forms the ''electrode plates holder'' 6 by means of pertitioning plates 5 and a bottom plate 4 having an equal pitch with that of a group of electrode plates. |
