An entry gate to milking bails consists of one or more pipes 12 one above the other, which are curved so that they form a U, looking from above, and the entry gate can turn about a perpendicular axle 9 which is located at the end of one of the legs 13 of the U, while the other leg 14, which is significantly longer, extends across a passage 6 for the cows on the way to the milking station, and the entry gate is configured such that the last- mentioned part, which extends across the passage 6, forms a locking element 14 for it. When the entry gate swings about the perpendicular axle 9, the leg 14 moves approximately only across the passage 6. <IMAGE>
