PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of the airtight sealing of a crystal vibrator package by using silver plating or silver-alloy plating for a brazing plating layer covering a container. CONSTITUTION:Container 1 in which a crystal vibrator is installed is coated with thin-film nickel plating 2 and plating layer 3 of silver or silver alloy is formed on the coating. Further, the surface of plating layer 3 is coated with thin gold plating layer 4 in order to realize resistance to change in color. On the other hand, chromium palladium layer 6 is formed as a metalized layer is formed at the junction part of cover body 5 made of a transparent glass plate, and this is dipped in solder molten by heating to form soft solder layer 7. Next, container 1 and cover body 5 are matched together and bonded by heating under vacuum to obtain an airtight package. Thus, defects as to airtight adhesion are greatly reduced to provide the improvement of the reliability of airtight sealing. |
