The lighting system for the interior of an omnibus comprises fluorescent tubes fixed to the roof of the passenger compartment. A reflecting grid prevents this reflection in the side windows and windscreen. Two sets of lights are fixed symmetrically along the roof (b) of the passenger compartment at specified distances from the centre and sides of the vehicle. These lights comprise fluorescent tubes (8) mounted in reflectors (9) whose sides (9a, b) are inclined to reflect the outer rays R1, R2) to strike the vehicle sides below the windows. The reflecting grid (11) covering the tubes comprises a number of compartments (13) which are open in the direction of the seats. The walls (14) of these compartments form reflecting surfaces to reflect the light within the area defined by the outer rays (R1, R2). |
