A knob 5 of cap form is secured against axial movement on a valve housing 1 and has internal threading to engage a member 6 held against rotation by a projection 7 and arranged to move axially with the valve spindle 9. A portion 13 at the centre of the knob is loosely keyed to the spindle to serve as a valve-position indicator. It may be spring-loaded into engagement with a recess in the knob. The internal threading may be formed in a split bush held together by a band 18 before being press-fitted into the cap portion of the knob, the external surface of the bush and the internal surface of the cap being knurled. |
