<p>PURPOSE:To high accurately control the interstand tension, in the controlling method for the interstand tension taking the rolling torque and rolling load as the basic data, by handling separated temperature change and tension change both being included in the basic data. CONSTITUTION:The rolling load and rolling torque Pio, Gio, being memorized before the material is bitten into the stand, are changed to Pio', Gio' only due to the temperature change, and further, are changed to Pi, Gi, owing to generation of the interstand tension. Hereupon, the relation of the rolling load change DELTAPtheta and the rolling torque change DELTAGtheta due to the temperature change, and the rolling load change DELTAPt and the rolling torque change DELTAGt owing to the interstand tension, is expressed by the formulas I, II. Besides, the rolling load is expressed by the formula III, and DELTAPtheta is obtained from formulas IV and V. In these formulas, Kmitheta, Kmio, are the average deformation resistance at temperature Ttheta, To, and Aio is the projected contact area, Qio is the rolling load function, epsilon is the strain, epsilon' is the strain rate, T is the absolute temperature of the rolled material, C, alpha, beta, are constants specified due to the material, (n) is the strain hardening exponent, and (m) is the strain rate dependence exponent.</p> |
