The d.c. motor has its permanent magnets held to its stator casing by injecting heat-resistant plastics into special keyways between magnet segments as well as between magnet segments and the inside wall of the casing. The keyways can have various shapes but all are designed to prevent the plastic magnet and plastics casing interfaces from slipping. The keyways can have the shape of dovetails, diamonds, squares or projections. The advantage lies in the connection between magnets and casing being extremely resistant to impact.
|
