PURPOSE:To manufacture H-beams of different sizes from the rough shaped billet of the same shape, by changing within a specified range the angle of inclination of side planes of the horizontal and vertical rolls of the roughing univeral mill. CONSTITUTION:In case of manufacture of H-beam from the rough shaped billet using the universal mill, the angles of inclination alpha and beta of side planes of the horizontal roll and vertical roll of the roughing universal mill are changed within a range 10-45 degrees. In this method, the inclination of the flange is larger as compared with the conventional rolling method for H-beam because of rolling work being carried out by the roughing universal mill; in order to raise the flange through the reform rolling given by the finishing universal mill, many universal mills and edging mills are arranged in the mill line; hereby, the flange is raised gradually. According to this method, the defective reform of shape, owing to the reform rolling work accompanying a great deformation, is prevented. |
