The purpose of the device is to prevent drivers of motor vehicles from entering one-way streets in the wrong direction because of poor visibility or carelessness. Use is made of a step-shaped elevation (2) in the road level (10), running cross-ways. Then device runs out in a relatively flat shape,pref. at an obtuse angle, in the correct approach direction, but hasa face (4) at right angles to the autting edge in the other direction. It can consists of several rows of mutually offset road sign studs, with vertical surface reflectors. This provides an optical and physical barrier. |
