Fuel injection system for IC engine - has tapered needle for fuel metering controlled by same regulator during part and full load running

A part (4) of the engine intake air is drawn off (2) the main stream (1) of the throttle (3). It enters a mixing chamber (5) into which fuel is added (9) and the miture flows to a fuel injection pump (6). The fuel is added through needle value which is attached to a float chamber (11). The needle (10) of the valve is adjusted within a conical housing (9a) to vary the flow area in accordance with the engine load. A valve (19) communicates the space in the float chamber above the liquid level with the mixing chamber at part load and with the atmosphere (18) at full load.
