PURPOSE:To cover all traces of a ship on one recording sheet by describing scheduled courses comprising course changing points on the sheet with a single straight line. CONSTITUTION:A scheduled course 1 ship's position setting device 1, a course signal input device 2, a speed signal input device 3 and a continuous recorder 5 are connected to a trace calculator 4. The minimum distance signal S4 to the scheduled course and the ship's movement distance signal S5 are computed with respect to the scheduled courses and the ship's position set at course changing points with the scheduled course/ship's position setting device 1 by use of the ship's course signal S1 with the course signal input device 2, the speed signal S2 in the bow and stern directions with the speed signal input device 3 and the speed signal S3 in the direction of both sides crossing parpendicular to the signal S2. The continuous recorder 5 describes scheduled course set at course changing points in such one direction as to be recordable continuously with one straight line along the length of the recording sheet. The minimum distance signal S4 to the scheduled course and the ship's movement distance signal S5 are recorded corresponding to the line. Thus, all continuous traces of a ship can be fully covered on one recording sheet. |
