A slewing crane, in particular a wall slewing crane, comprises a vertical column (1) rotatably mounted at its ends in bearings (2,2') designed as cantilevers. A horizontal jib (3) is firmly connected to the column (1) and hoisting gear arranged so as to be able to travel along the jib. The column is rotatable in the bearings (2,2') to allow the jib (3) to be slewed in a horizontal plane. A rotating mechanism (13) is provided for slewing the jib (3), and a torsionally resilient coupling (15), or one provided with slip is interposed between the rotating mechanism (13) and the jib (3) or column (1). <IMAGE> |
