In order, during the deflection of the folding roller shutter (1) about the deflection device (3), to prevent the connecting members (16, 19, 22), in particular the hooks (17, 20), being subjected to bending in the case of loading by forces not lying in their plane parallel to the axis (5), the corresponding wall of the slat serving as support point, and thus being correspondingly loaded, this support length is reduced by the corresponding part of the connecting member being supported at its free externally lying end on the deflection device (3), as a result of which the support point on the slat wall is relieved and can no longer be overloaded. To this end, strips (27, 28, 29), which project from the support body (9), are provided. On deflection, the corresponding parts of the connecting members are supported with their free ends on these strips, so that their free bending lengths disappear. In this manner, it is brought about that the slat walls are subjected to no additional loading at the deflection point and wall cracks no longer occur. <IMAGE>
