<p>PURPOSE:To continue the safety running at night when one of headlamps fails by turning on a downward spare beam element when a downward beam element fails. CONSTITUTION:When one of lamps 5 fails during the night running, the switch 13 of a lamp operating circuit (d) is operated with the relay 10 in a downward beam element circuit (c). The switch 9 of a downward spare beam element circuit (e) is turned on by a relay 14 to automatically excite the circuit (e), the downward spare beam element 8 of a headlamp 5 is turned on to project the light. The auxiliary lighting is thereby obtained by utilizing the sealed beam lamp 5 without changing the design of a vehicle.</p> |
