The effluent form a (H2N)2CO(I) synthesis app., contg. unreacted H2NCO2NH4(II), was decompd. under pressure in three stages whereby the resulting gas was absorbed in an aq. I soln. to give a II-contg. soln and gaseous NH3, which was liquified under pressure. The liq. NH3 was warmed by inkire-ct heat exchange with the II soln., and both were recycled in synthesis.
