1391678 Detergent in spaghetti-like form COLGATE-PALMOLIVE CO 17 May 1972 [26 May 1971] 23140/72 Heading C5D A detergent composition in the form of dry non-tacky spaghetti-like particles having an average length of 3-10 mm. with at least 95% thereof between 0À5 and 20 mm., an average diameter of 0À2-2À0 mm., a bulk density of 0À3-0À8 g./ml., an insolubility factor in water at 25‹ C. of less than 5 and a strength factor of less than 1 comprises 2-90% of detergent, 10-80% builder and sufficient water that mechanical manipulation of the particles could produce a dough. Detergents specified include: tallow soap, sodium linear dodecylbenzene sulphonate, nonylphenol ether phosphate, sodium olefin sulphonate, sodium hexadecane sulphonate, sodium tetradecane sulphonate, sodium tridecyl benzene sulphonate, sodium tallow sulphate, fatty alcohol/ethylene oxide adduct and nonylphenol ethylene oxide adduct. Other ingredients include: sodium perborate mono- or tetrahydrate, pentasodium tripolyphosphate, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, an optical brightener, sodium silicate, perfume, sodium sulphate, sodium pyrophosphate, enzymes, sodium nitrilotriacetate, sodium ethylene diamine triacetate, tribromo salicylanilide (bacteriostate), sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide, antioxidant and colouring. |
