H2SO4 solns. resulting from the treatment of mimerals contg. Sio2 and Al2O3 are simultaneously purified and concd. for reuse by adding to the soln., or mixt. of such solns., an amt. of ammonium sulfate to provide an excess, contg. the soln. by vacuum evapn. at 100-120≦̸C in the pressence of 0.5-3% by wt. of the soln. of seed crystals from previous processsion at that temp. while stirring for 2-3 hr. and sepq. the ppt. and soln.
