PURPOSE:To monitor a proper stereoscopic video by providing spectacles for monitor with a measuring means which measures the distance to a display means and a control circuit which controls the relative delay extent of both video information based on the measured result. CONSTITUTION:A measuring circuit 14 measures the time, in which the ultrasonic wave generated by a first transmitting means 12 is reflected on a monitor screen and is received by a first receiving means 13, to calculate the distance to a monitor means 3. This distance information is transferred to a second receiving means 8 through a second transmitting means 15. A control circuit 9 calculates the delay time based on this distance information and inputs it to a second delay circuit 6b. The second delay circuit 6b delays video information for left eye by a time (T+t) and delays that for right eye by a time (T-t) (T is fixed and (t) is variable). Meanwhile, a first delay means 6a delays synchronizing components by the time T. A synthesizing circuit 7 synthesizes both delay outputs to generate a stereoscopic video signal B. |
