PURPOSE:To raise resistance to liquid leakage by coating a sealant composed of a polyvinylalkylether resin, an epoxy resin, and a phenol resin at the sealing portion. CONSTITUTION:The anodic mixture 2 of sliver oxide, etc., is housed in the metal case 1 and then on the mixture 2, the cathode 5 of amalgamated zinc powder, packed in the metal sealing plate 6, is provided through the separator 3 and the electrolyte impregnated material 4. Then, between the care 1 and the sealing plate 6, the sealing packing 7 whose surface have the sealant layer 8 is provided and then sealed to form a cell. The kind of the sealant 8 used at the sealing portion is the one composed of a polyvinylalkylether resin, a epoxy resin, and a phenol resin in a mixing ratio of 50-70:20-45:5-10. The average molecular weights of each resin is, respectively, 35-60, 300-5000, and 200-300 preferably. |
