MOLDING FOR EXHAUST GAS OF STORAGE BATTERY, MANUFACTURE THEREOF, AND ITS MOLD

PURPOSE:To manufacture a battery having a vent plug and a spray arrestor incorporating spray stopping plates by installing a vent in the top wall of a cylindrical or box-type molding and spray stopping plates protruding slantwise, downward to the lower part of the vent from the under surface of the top wall. CONSTITUTION:Several spray stopping plates protruding downward from the top wall 1a of a cylindrical or box-type molding P to the lower part of a vent 2 are installed so that each lower end 6a keeps a narrow space. The leakage of acid mist in gas is effectively prevented by these spray stopping plates compared with a conventional spray arrestor in which several spray stopping plates 6 horizontally protruding from the inner wall of a vent are installed so as to form relatively large distances up and down. A rigid cover equipped with a vent plug incorporating spray stopping plates 6 is economically manufactured.
