<p>The winding drum has two end flanges (1, 2). Each flange has a circular groove (11) to locate the end of the hub (3) and a central hole (15) for the winding axle. The hub is made from a strip of material, joined to the backing strips (12, 13) at the ends. The strips extend into the slots (7) in the flanges. The flanges are joined by tie bars (4, 5, 6) each fitted with longitudinal slots (14) to fit in the holes (8, 9, 10) in the end flanges and located inside the hub.</p> |
