<p>The rotary file has a drum with compartments open in the radial direction holding the sheets. An extraction station has means for removing the sheets from the compartments, in each of which is a grip movable between the open and shut positions in relation to the compartment wall. The sheets are normally held in place when the compartments are not at the extraction station when the drum is turned. A mechanism is coupled to that actuating the grips, selectively preventing one or more of them being opened when at the extraction station of the drum (10). The grips of the empty compartments (18) or partitions between them not in use (20) can be held in the shut position if desired to reduce noise and wear. This mechanism can include cam operated solenoids.</p> |
