PURPOSE:To prevent the abandonment of unnecessary transfer paper by dividing the conveying region of the transfer member for copying machines, discharging the transfer member according to the jam occuring region and correcting the number of member display. CONSTITUTION:As a copy key is turned ON, an FF1 is set and a motor M1 which drives the drum formed with secondary latent images, resist roll, etc. starts turning, whereby the developed secondary latent images are transferred to transfer member. When the jam signal through the AND gates G5-G7 which are opened by the specified timing signal is applied according to the turning of the motor M1, the FF1 is reset and the motor M1 stops, due to which the jam transfer member of the conveying section up to the end of transfer is discharged. In this case, the FF2 does not receive the effect of these jam signals and the motor M4 continues turning so that the conveying path including fixing device, changeover part to sorter device, etc. continues normal operation, whereby normal paper discharge is accomplished. |
