Microwave oven door - has glass pane in seal held in window frame by further frame

The door shuts off the baking chamber of a microwave oven, having inner and outer frames joined together, and an inspection window, forming a screen against electromagnetic waves. This comprises a pane of glass on the inside, and a perforated sheet metal plate. The inner and outer frames form the inner door section, and accommodate a window frame round the pane. The latter fits in a seal extending all the way round. The seal is in turn held in place by a further frame which together with the window frame is clamped by a section of profiled, angular material. The latter has preferably a U-shaped cross section, and is inserted over the parallel edges of the composite frame. The window frame may be welded to the door assembly.
